Mysteries of the city

Look two in one

Anyone who rides a bicycle to work will usually carry a backpack to change before the office hours. The São Paulo brand Sportix Wear is trying to simplify the lives of these riders by launching a collection of dry tech technology for social clothing (photo). The fabrics can absorb sweat and evaporate humidity more quickly. In addition, the pieces incorporate reflective silk so that the cyclists are visible to the drivers (in the case of pants, it appears when the bar is folded while pedaling). The line includes other items, such as shorts and underwear, as shown in the table:

Item - cost (in reais)

Male and female underwear....100
Female legging Sportix Wear mobility....118
Polo shirt..............................120
Male shorts...........................140
Female flow shirt..................140

Female polo workout.............200

Trashy museum

Where do all the discarded electronic equipment go? In the capital, most of them end up in Coopermiti, the only cooperative in the city that specializes in these type of articles. Located in the neighborhood of Santa Cecilia, it stores the collected items in a 2,000 square meter shed. "We began to realize that there were many precious things among the piles, so we had the idea of setting up an intinerant museum", says Alex Pereira, responsible for Coopermiti. The collection has 1 837 pieces, selected for exhibitions at company conventions, school shows or events such as Virada Sustentável. Check out some of the relics in the box below:
